  • General Questions

Drop-in storytimes are open to anyone at the date and time listed. There is no prior registration required.

Registered storytimes require advanced sign-up to secure a spot in storytime each week. Register online, by phone, or in person at the Youth Services Info Desk.

If you are considering registering for a storytime session but have a conflict with one week, please register and then contact us at prekteam@glenviewpl.org, opens a new window. We are happy to accommodate you!

We often offer drop-in spots at registered storytimes. Please check with the Youth Services Info Desk to see if there is room for drop-ins that day.

Siblings are always welcome in our storytimes. If both children are the appropriate age for the storytime, please register each child individually. If only one child is the appropriate age for the storytime, please register only them and plan to bring both children.

Storytime is always free for all patrons.

No. We welcome all patrons from any library to register for storytime or to join us for a drop-in storytime.

Each of our storytimes is designed for the needs of a specific age group. We plan activities based on brain development, motor skills, and interest levels to best benefit each child.

It happens to everyone at some point! Please feel free to leave the storytime room to calm your child and return when ready.

    • Due to allergies, food is not allowed during storytime or the Youth Services Department. If your child needs a snack, please visit the Library’s lobby.
    • Diaper changes should be done in private spaces. If your child needs a diaper change, please visit one of the Library’s restrooms.
