    Hearing Loop 
    A hearing loop is assistive listening technology for individuals with reduced ranges of hearing. The Library’s hearing loop, installed in the Community Room and Multipurpose Room, allows patrons to enjoy a clear hearing experience when attending library programs, meetings, and other events. T-coil hearing aid users can listen directly to the sound system using their hearing aids, while non-hearing aid users can listen through a headset using one of the Library’s loop receivers.     TTY 
    A TTY for patron use is located at the Reader Services Desk. Patrons wanting to make a call to the Library’s TTY may call 847.729.7529. 

    ADA Computer Workstation 
    The Glenview Public Library’s ADA Computer Workstation is equipped with hardware and software designed to help patrons with visual impairments, including a large print/high contrast keyboard and ergonomic trackball mouse with scroll ring. Library use only.

    Location: Second Floor, Adult Public Computer Area, Station #8. 

    Merlin HD Video Magnifier 
    The Merlin HD is a high performance desktop video magnifier (CCTV), featuring high definition color and contrast, simple, easy-to-use tactile controls, adjustable magnification and viewing modes. You can easily read books and magazines, read and write letters, view color photos and more. Library use only.

    Location: Second Floor, Adult Public Computer Area, Station #20.

    Yes, a wheelchair is available at the Information Desk for library patrons. Library use only. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

    Yes, the Library provides ADA accommodations for library programs and meetings. Individuals should fill out this form, opens a new window or call 847.729.7500 to make arrangements. The library requires five business days' notice if special accommodation is needed.
