Summer Reading Challenges

June 1-July 31

How does Summer @ GPL work?

Read books between Jun 1-Jul 31
Log your progress on Beanstack or in-person at the Youth Services Desk or Reader Services desk
Earn prizes and entries into the Grand Prize raffles

How to register:

Youth (birth-grade 8)

How to Participate:

On your reading log, mark one star for each day you read or listen.
After 15 and 30 days of reading, bring your log to the Library to spin the wheel for a prize.
After 40 days of reading, bring your log to the Library to receive your free book and raffle entry to win a grand prize basket!

Remember that:

You can read as long as you like each day (we suggest 20 minutes); your days do not have to be in a row.
All kinds of reading counts! You can read on your own, with a grownup, or listen to an audiobook.
Only one reading log per child for the summer. Prizes are available for children from birth to Grade 8. Eighth graders can complete the Youth or the Teen program.

Summer @ GPL Foam Party

Tuesday, Jul 30, 6-7 PM • North Lawn, opens a new window

Bring Summer @ GPL to a close by playing in billions of bubbles! Your family won't want to miss this foam-mentous occasion. The Foam Party will be hosted by local performer, Jason Kollum. In the case of inclement weather, join us for a ticketed juggling show inside the Library.
