The Glenview Public Library aims to create a supportive, accessible community where everyone feels valued and understood. It has never been more evident that connecting individuals with mental health and well-being resources is crucial to fostering a healthier community. We hope you join us at our upcoming author event with Meg Kissinger and Community Mental Health Fair. Both serve as educational opportunities to foster mental health and overall wellness in and around Glenview. Together we can build a healthier, more well-connected community.
A Conversation with Meg Kissinger

Meg Kissinger is an award-winning investigative journalist and professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and was a visiting professor at DePauw University. A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, she wrote extensively about the failures of the mental health system.
While You Were Out is a poignant memoir about Kissinger’s seemingly charmed Wilmette family who secretly struggled with severe mental illness.
