Letter from the Library Director

Come together this summer at the Library!

Beyond our incredible collections and resources, the Library also offers opportunities for Glenview residents to come together, make connections, and build community. Whether through a book discussion, a storytime, or a friendly chat with a librarian, people build relationships and create friendships every day at the Library. Did you know that these relationships make Glenview stronger, happier, and healthier? Studies show that connected and collaborative communities work better together to address common challenges, and social connections make us feel more fulfilled, enhance our well-being, and even increase longevity. Our team is proud of the work we do to foster engagement and we are excited to offer a summer full of opportunities to connect with friends, neighbors, and people from across the community. We welcome you to explore Glenview Public Library this summer and experience how we bring people together!

What I'm Reading This Summer:

Klara and the Sun

I can't wait to read Kazuo Ishiguro's latest novel that explores the nature of humanity and the potential consequences of advanced artificial intelligence. I hear it's beautifully written and thought-provoking.
