Glenview Public Library supports local authors with a local author book collection and the opportunity to share their books with the community at a Local Author Meet and Greet Event. The local author book collection is a donation-based collection; the author agrees to donate a physical copy of the book to the Library. The Meet and Greet event occurs quarterly and is held in the lobby. Please fill out this form to request to participate in the event and/or donate your book.
If you wish to donate your book, please fill out the form and drop off a copy at the reference desk or mail a copy of your book to the Glenview Public Library. When we have received your form and the donated copy of your book, the book will be reviewed by a staff member. If the book is accepted, it will be added to the library catalog. The book will be shelved in the Local Author Collection and will be available for check-out. Books that are added to the Local Author Collection become library property and are subject to the guidelines of the Glenview Public Library Collection Development Plan.
