Why We Need Your Support

The Friends have been supporting the Glenview Public Library since 1939. We rely heavily on our generous donors to help us achieve our core mission, which is to fund, support, and improve key programs and services that the Library offers to our community. Our Library is constantly improving, so we need your help now more than ever.

Key programs we have supported in the last 2-3 years:

  • Over 50 programs for adults and children including the Sunday Music Series, Super Saturday events, and concerts for kids.
  • About $20,000 in scholarships to Glenbrook South High School Seniors.
  • The beautiful furniture and landscaping on the second floor Reading Terrace.

"I love programming our Sunday Music Series concerts knowing that I have the support of the Friends; there's no way I could bring in some of the cool musicians and bands we get to work with - without their help. Thank you, Friends!"

Michael W., Programming Librarian

With your support, the Friends organization will thrive and provide additional funding for our Library.

You may also drop off your donation at the bookstore or mail a check (see Contact Us page for our address). Please make your check out to: The Friends of Glenview Public Library.
