• Where is the Used Bookstore located?

  The Used Bookstore is located in the southwest corner of the Glenview Public Library lobby.

• What are the Used Bookstore Hours?

  Monday-Thursday, 9 AM-9 PM
  Friday, 9 AM-6 PM
  Saturday, 9 AM-5 PM
  Sunday, 1-5 PM

  All hours are subject to volunteer availability.

• Can I pay with a credit card?

  Yes, while cash is preferred, we accept all major credit cards as well as Apple and Google Pay.

• What donations do you accept?

  The Used Bookstore accepts gently used hard and soft cover books, DVDs, CDs, video games, and LPs. We DO NOT accept items that are water damaged, stained, annotated (highlighting, underlining, or other writing in the margins), showing signs of mold, falling apart, or in general poor condition. • Where can I drop off donations?

  Please drop off your donations on the metal carts just outside of the Used Bookstore or with a volunteer at the desk inside the store.

• Can I get a receipt for my donation?

  Absolutely! Please see the volunteer on duty for a 501(c)(3) donation receipt. Please note that we will not estimate or confirm values of your donation.

• Is my donation tax-deductible?

  Yes! Donation receipts are available upon request. Please note that we will not estimate or confirm values of your donation.

• Where can I find more about volunteering?

  We are always looking for volunteers to help out! To apply, please fill out our online application form. Applications are also available in the store. Please ask a volunteer for an application.

• If I call or email the Used Bookstore, can you tell me if you have a book in stock?

  Our inventory changes daily and we are not staffed in a way that allows us to search and save books for customers. We encourage you to come in and search for the book you are looking for. We appreciate your understanding.
