After you download the GPL App, you will need to enter your library username or barcode and your 4-digit PIN or password to login. This is the same information you would use to access your account on the website. Please contact us if you'd like help.

Drop-in storytimes are open to anyone at the date and time listed. There is no prior registration required.Â
Registered storytimes require advanced sign-up to secure a spot in storytime each week. Register online, by phone, or in person at the Youth Services Info Desk. Â
If you are considering registering for a storytime session but have a conflict with one week, please register and then contact us at prekteam@glenviewpl.org, opens a new window. We are happy to accommodate you! Â
We often offer drop-in spots at registered storytimes. Please check with the Youth Services Info Desk to see if there is room for drop-ins that day.Â

GPL comes to you! Classroom visits are made for grades K-2 or grades 3-5 and can be customized for your class. Library staff can:
Grades K-2
- Librarians can be mystery readers or do storytimes. The books can be themed to curriculum, unit of study, or just for fun.
- Introduce age-appropriate, literacy based, digital content available with a Library card, such as the SORA app, Hoopla, and Tumblebooks.
Grades 3-5
- Book talk new titles or themed books (new historical fiction, current book award nominees, rocket science, etc.) All subjects are welcome!
- Customize a digital resource orientation for your student's needs, such as databases, homework help, the SORA app, or hoopla.
Grades 6-12
Middle School and High School field trips are tailored to the specific classes needs and will feature Library resources to complement their coursework.

- Download the hoopla app from your device’s app store, or go to hoopladigital.com.
- Follow the steps to create your account, selecting Glenview Public Library when prompted. You’ll need an email address and your library card number. Â
- Once the account has been created, sign in with your email address and password.Â

- Browse titles or search for a specific item. Click on a title image, then tap Borrow to check out the item. Â
- Click the Play or Read button to access the item. On the app, you can download the item to access it offline. Â

Borrow up to 10 items per month. Borrowing limits reset on the first of the month.
