We love Monday Movers, our weekly music & movement storytime, just as much as you do! Here are some library resources and ideas for making your own Monday Movers fun whenever you need it.
Monday Movers Booklist
Start off with a high-energy participation-based picture book. We’ve made a list of books used at Monday Movers, opens a new window with lots of titles just waiting for you to check them out!
Hello & Goodbye Songs
At Monday Movers, our opening song is “Hello and How Are You?” by Old Town School of Folk Music, opens a new window and our goodbye song is “Shake Hands With Friends” by Ella Jenkins, opens a new window. Both of these songs put us in a great mood for the rest of the day and we hope they do the same for you.
Rotating Playlist
The heart and soul of Monday Movers are the songs that change from week to week. All SIXTY songs from this fall are together on one grand playlist, opens a new window sure to keep you dancing for at least two hours and thirty minutes.
Find Your Own Props
Look around your home to see what can become a shaker, scarf, or parachute. Fill a recycled water bottle with rice to make a shaker, find a bandana or a tissue to become a scarf, and use a small blanket or tablecloth to be your parachute!
Now you’re ready to dance the day away!
