Use Our Collector's Case

Children up through 8th grade who have a GPL card are invited to sign up on a first come, first served basis for a two-week time slot to display a personal collection of small items in the Youth Services “Collector’s Case." Examples of collections include rocks, figures, themed-toys, small stuffed animals, LEGOs, and more. Sign up in person with a librarian in the Youth Services department!

Literacy Tips

Early Literacy Tip

Spend time playing with your child. Playing together promotes a closer relationship and allows you to model values and behaviors that are important to you, your family, and your community.

School Age Literacy Tip

Children are collectors. Find ways to encourage your child to pick up another book by introducing them to a series like Dog Man, Wings of Fire, a second book by a favorite author, or ask a librarian for additional suggestions or fill out a Book Match form.
