Welcome to the Library’s monthly film series. Typically meeting on the third Friday of the month with showings at 2 & 6:30 PM, a theme is selected for each season—with occasional special screenings and film events. Each showing is followed by a lively audience-led discussion. Resource guides are provided for each series, including an overview, facts and figures, trivia, library resources, online resources and “if you liked this series” recommendations. No tickets required—just drop in.
A great opportunity to view some of the Year’s Best films that you may have missed or would enjoy seeing again. Award-winners, nominees, or just interesting topics specially selected for our GlenVIEWINGS audience.
Missed a GlenVIEWINGS series or just looking for a good film recommendation? Enjoy the GlenVIEWINGS film Series in the comfort of your own home. You pop the popcorn, we’ll provide the movies!
Enjoy a children’s matinee in the Community Room. Bring a beach towel or blanket to get comfy on the floor. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. Current Drop-In Movie schedule.
The Library subscribes to the Film Movement independent movie series, a great option for film exploration at home. An award-winning film and bonus short film is added to the Library’s collection each month, typically before the title is available to the general public. Each title is carefully selected by the Film Movement staff “who travel the world looking for great cinema” to share with subscribers. Visit the Library catalog for a listing of Film Movement titles.
