Pledge to meet with a young reader six times in six weeks. You will meet at the Library to read aloud together and do an activity once per week. Young readers need your help. If you have the time, you may adopt additional young readers to help meet volunteer demand for this popular program.
June 25 – August 1
Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays
• Your Book Buddy will be a student(s) entering grades 1-3 in the fall.
• Volunteers should be able to attend at least five weeks of the six-week session in order to participate as a Reading Buddy.
• If you will miss more than one week, please let us know so that we can plan your duties accordingly.
Choose your timeslot and your Little Buddy
• Beginning June 3, volunteers who have completed their application packet may officially choose their timeslot and Little Buddy.
• Be prepared and complete all your application requirements early.
• First-come, first-served—so don’t delay. Once a timeslot has filled, we may not be able to accommodate your scheduling needs.
